ICT Technical Assistant Sudan
  • JOB DESCRIPTION

The purpose of the assistant position is to provide daily

technical users support in the entire spectrum of ICT

operations at the NRC Sudan – Kosti Country office, under

the supervision of the ICT Coordinator, ensures the

delivery of the services on information systems and

telecommunications to all staff.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Job description:

  • Adhere to NRC policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines.

  • Prepare and develop status reports as required by management.

  • Ensure proper filing of documents.

  • Provide help desk support to all users on IT issues.

  • Maintain the existing Asset Registry to track all ICT & Non-ICT equipment’s.

  • Preparation and release of ICT resources to authorized users as approved.

  • Diagnosis and resolution of hardware, software or connectivity problems.

  • Provide support to the office staff upon request in the use of systems and applications.

  • Schedule regular computer-related service & maintenance.

  • Setup internet connectivity for all staff as well as visitors.

  • Performs other duties, as required or as requested by line manager.


Qualifications:

  •  Bachelor in Information Technology or related field.

  • Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience.


Education field:

  • Information Technology or related field.
    Education level:
    College / University, Bachelor's degree.


Personal qualities:

  • Demonstrate proficiency in providing user support for
    all typical office ICT specially
    LAN/WAN/VSAT/Wireless technologies, Cisco
    Switches & Routers.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
    Ability to keep up to date with modern trends in
    technology and match this with internal specifics.

  • Possess cultural awareness and sensitivity.

  • Ability to analyze, troubleshoot, support and
    implement technical solutions at all levels.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


Language:
Arabic.
English.

  • Experience from working in IT functions.

  • Previous experience from working in networking and
    software and hardware maintenance.

    responsibilities.
